Patty + Danny’s Wedding Trailer, Key West

Patty & Danny had a really fun wedding in Key West Florida. It was held at Nine One Five restaurant right on Duval St. We spent most of the day filming the preps, first look and photo session. It was really hard making this trailer because we had so many amazing shots!

I really wanted to make a tease of this one and not give away too much, you’ll have to wait for the Highlights film to see the story unfold!

Las Vegas Video Workshop

Tami + Marc’s Wedding Trailer

Happy New year! We are just days away from the new year and I wanted to share one last trailer for 2009.

We filmed Tami & Marc’s beautiful wedding at Orella Ranch in Santa Barbara California. This place was unreal! It’s on top of a hill that gives you a view of both the mountains and the ocean. The weather this day started out a bit foggy but then cleared up to perfection with an amazing sunset.

Tami & Marc were awesome to work with, we had such a great time doing fun couple shots! The ceremony was held under a giant oak tree followed by the reception on the edge of a hill overlooking the valley and ocean. The decor, food and atmosphere were perfect, Tami spent countless months planning and it all showed!

Amy + Chris, A Short Film

Amy and Chris’s fabulous wedding was this past weekend.

Their ceremony was held at St. Louis Catholic Church followed by a reception at Bar Mansion. These were both new places for us to shoot, so it was a pleasure finding new and cool shots.

You never know with a winter wedding in Austin, but this day was perfect! Amy and Chris were so fun to work with and all the guests has a great time. Everyone danced for hours and then joined the couple for the sparkler exit. As the family and guests waved, Amy and Chris departed in a vintage blue Cadillac.

Kim + Adam – Sea Dream Yacht, Virgin Islands Wedding

On November 11th we boarded the Sea Dream yacht in Puerto Rico for Kim and Adam’s wedding, what a treat we were in for. I was first contacted by Adam to film their wedding just a few weeks earlier. He had seen a Cinevate ad that featured us in DV magazine and decided to contact us. Before we new it we were on the way to Puerto Rico!

We sailed from Puerto Rico to St. John overnight and woke up with the amazing scenery of the Virgin Islands. The wedding and reception were held on the Sea Dream yacht as it was anchored just off the shores of St. John.

Kim and Adam are a super cool couple from New York that wanted to have a wedding that was unique and different. The Sea Dream made for an amazing backdrop to host their wedding with 100 of their closest family and friends. The food was amazing, every meal offered something different but it was all to die for. Lobster, Steak, Mango Jerk Chicken and Roasted duck are just a few of the savory courses that were offered.

Festivo handled the flowers and decor settings creating a fun and tropical vibe for each location on the boat. Mary Bartolucci with Island Style Weddings did an amazing job of keeping the party going and making sure everything was perfect. Sokphalla Ban was the stylist for the day and made sure Kim was looking amazing from sun up to sun down! And Table 4 Photography and I had a great time capturing everything as it happened!

The Ceremony was held on the back deck, it rained at the beginning of the day but then became perfect for the ceremony. It ended with “mozoltov!” and on to the dinner portion of the reception.
The food was served at the reception with elegant style, each tables plates were brought out and reveled at the same time to “Voilà!”. There were so many choices and everything was exquisite.

After dinner and speeches the party started with the “Forever” entrance which everyone loved. Then everyone danced the night away ending with an impromptu pool party started by Adam & Kim. It was such an amazing few days!

This is their short film, we did a rush edit because they had a second reception this past friday and wanted to play the short film there. The “Next Day Edit” is an add on to the Feature FIlm, it’s awesome to get your Short Film just a week after the wedding day!

Vanessa + Tony’s Wedding Film, HD + 16mm = Awesome!

Vanessa & Tony had a super elegant wedding in Houston TX, everything was top notch from the beautifully amazing flowers to the 15 person band that had guests dancing all night long.

The Ceremony was held at St. Annes Catholic church followed by the reception at the Corinthian in Downtown Houston.

Vanessa wanted a mix of HD and 16mm film to give their video a unique and nostalgic feel. 16mm film has such a beautiful texture and it really compliments skin tones.

The day was amazing, I’m so glad we were able to be apart of it!

Shannon & Joel E-Session

I had an awesome time working with Shannon and Joel on their engagement shoot. This is something new we have been working on and now offer, it’s an “E-Session”! For Shannon and Joel’s E-Session, I shot both their video and photos.

The shoot was in Downtown austin, I had pre-scouted out some locations and we spent 3 hours shooting and doing a short interview session. The weather was a bit chilly but Shannon and Joel didn’t mind and we got some amazing shots!

I wish I was able to make it to Shannon and Joel’s wedding in Tulum Mexico next weekend, but I was already booked for another wedding. Congrats guys and thanks for the beautiful images!

It’s been a busy fall for us. I love this time of year in Austin, the crisp air returns and makes for some amazing outdoor weddings. This past weekend we had a shoot at www.greenpasturesrestaurant.com , the weather was perfect!

We have been shooting from coast to coast over the past two months. A beautiful ranch wedding in Santa Barbra and a sea breeze wedding in Key West. Trailers will be coming soon for these two gorgeous events!

I wanted to share a couple of cool things that have been happening in our world lately. I was blessed to find out that I along with a few other amazing filmmakers ended up on the cover of www.eventdv.com magazine this month. You can find the article about “Fusion” here – EventDV Article

I also just returned from a trip to San Francisco where I was part of a conference teaching about wedding filmmaking. It was called Re:Frame. I had an amazing time talking and learning from other industry pros. San Francisco is a great city with lots of inspiration for a visual artist, it gave me a chance to breath and shoot some really fantastic scenery. I will also be talking at the upcoming In[Focus] event in January here in Austin. It’s going to be an great event, so if you missed Re:Frame and want to learn more about wedding filmmaking I suggest you sign up.

Christine + Charles Short Wedding Film

Christine & Charles were married in Houston Texas this past Saturday October 3rd. The wedding took place at St. Annes Catholic Church followed by the reception at Hotel Derek. What a fun wedding!

The ceremony was actually short, about 25 mins. As they were walking back down the isle Charles said “I can’t believe it went by so quickly”. From there they went on a photo shoot around DT Houston where they were chased by a few afternoon showers.

The cocktail hour started at Hotel Derek around 6pm where the guests were greeted by a candy buffet! Boy, all the green candy look really good, especially the rock candy. But my teeth said no and I had to pass. Once they made their grand entrance dinner was served and everyone danced the night away.

I really enjoyed shooting at Hotel Derek, it was nice to have the DJ set up off the dance floor. This created a cleaner look for the room as well as aided in making both mine and the photographers shots better. I wish more events were set up like this.

Christine and Charles invested in one of our new offerings called the “Next Day Edit”. What we create is a 5-6 min highlights film from the wedding. We also edit the film right after the wedding, so you will receive your online version in 4-7 days. As you will see it takes you through all the emotions of the day.The pacing, music and shots are carefully selected and weaved together to create a one of a kind story. Enjoy!
